Make-Up Made From Animals

There are may different cosmetic products made from different animal by-products. Here is a list of what they are.
Many women are slaves to make-up using it to make themselves more beautiful. It can probably be assumed that most women don’t think about what is making their lips shine, their eyelashes thick and beautiful, and their eye shadow sparkle. Little do they know, some of these well know products are produced with the help of animals (more than they might want to know).
“Bat” Those Luscious Lashes
Mascara application is a morning ritual for make-up wearing women. This liquid makes the eye lashes dark and long, but what in it helps this process? Nothing other than bat guano, that’s right, bat feces. A derivative from bat guano is used in mascara for thickness and shine.

Shimmer and Shine
Not only is the guano derivative used in mascara, there are a few other daily products its’ in. This same guano is used in some nail polishes, shampoos, and eye shadows. It creates the pearly shine that these products are known for. Guano from seabirds is also used.
Sperm Gloss?
The latest make-up rumor is that lip gloss is made from whale sperm. This rumor has proved to be a little bit of a mix up. Lip gloss is not made from whale sperm, it is made from sperm whale. The blubber from sperm whale is used in lip gloss for its oil and it’s wax which provide a good substance for lip gloss.

Fish Lips
On the ingredient list of some lipsticks and nail polishes there is something called pearl essence or sometimes pearlecsence. This is actually an ingredient made from fish scales. These fish scales are what create the shimmer in these products. So think of fish next time you pucker up.

I have always gone to http://www.afterglowcosmetics.com to find the perfect beauty supplies. I have never had any problems with them and their beauty supplies and make up is all natural. I like knowing that the cosmetics that I am applying to my face are not harming my skin. I try to stay as natural as I can but when I need to cover blemishes on my face I only use mineral cosmetics so that I know my face is taken care of.

I personally love mineral cosmetics and natural cosmetics because the thought of absorbing all of the chemicals into my skin does not interest me. The typical woman absorbs over five pounds of chemicals through her skin into her body from makeup.

You dont know what your talking about. Lip gloss was made from the Sperm Whale and mascara does not contain bat feces. Check your facts before everyone who reads this becomes as misinformed as you.
