A Poem About men and women going through domestic abuse.
When Will It End
This is about Domestic Abuse, it’s for men and women who feel alone. Some of you may know, someone, a friend; your next door neighbour; a member of family. Just be there to help them through it, so they know they are not alone, because right now they will be going through Domestic Abuse.
He Lies, He deceives,
He makes me feel,
I am going round the bend.
He plots, he schemes,
I still don’t know what he means.
When will it end?
He tells me he says the truth,
When it comes down to it
I know I won’t live under his roof.
Our Sons, Our daughters, they see what’s going on,
But, the deceiving is wrong.
Who do I turn to, who will believe.
I have no-one to help sing my song,
When will he leave?
He is convincing to the world outside,
But I, I have nothing to hide.
A stranger, this someone I don’t know
Steps into our world up to me,
And says I know.
All things will end, all things will be.
At last there is someone who believes me.
When will it end?
With this stranger there is hope and glory,
But, this someone have a story.
The stranger says, you are not alone,
There are men and women who don’t moan.
Their pain inside
Because, they too have nothing to hide.
The moral to this story,
Is to find hope and glory.
Find the strength, find the courage
For that someone, to believe
To make that person leave.
This poem is dedicated to all men and women who are going through domestic abuse.

Domestic abuse is a terrible thing. Your poem is sad but beautifully written.
