Two Teenage Girls Charged with Prostituting and Human Trafficking Other Teenage Girls

When I first heard this story I was amazed and wondered where the age of innocents had gone. When I was young I  was not an angel but I would have nether thought of committing such a horrendous deed. For me it just beggars belief and I have to wonder just where are society is headed.

The Police who arrested these two girls are calling it one of the most shocking cases they have ether dealt with. The two girls were arrested Friday and Saturday and multiple charges were laid after three separate incidents ,where girls between the ages of 13 and 17 were taken to multiple locations and offered to adult men for acts of prostitution. Police are also seeking a third suspect, a 17-year-old girl, in connection with the case.

An Ottawa police spokesmen said the victims were found online to meet the accused through “innocent social means” and brought to a location in the 2400 block of Walkley Road Ottawa and then taken to various locations.

Charges being laid on the two teenagers include:

Human trafficking.
Robbery.
Procuring.
Forcible Confinement.
Sexual Assault.
Assault.
Uttering threats.
Abduction.

Police say the teens are not connected to any gang and that they appeared to be acting alone.The RCMP have taken a lead in human trafficking and from a quick scan they cannot find anything similar in the country at this time. He also went onto say “this case also highlights the need for parents to be aware of how their children are using social media. Parents know who there local children’s friends are, but do not know their electronic friends”!

For me this is one of the most disturbing stories I have heard in many a year.
