The Five Most Beautiful Women in India

Beauty is not in the face, but is a light in the heart…

Beauty… There’s no word in any language that has been so misunderstood and misused… Maybe expect love. Just like love, beauty is not something that can be seen. It’s the quality of the heart. It’s almost a divine light that illuminates the world inside even when the outside is pretty dark and gloomy. There’s nothing as wonderful as beauty and to use attractiveness as a synonym for it is possibly one of the many grave blunders of the human mind. In this article, I have attempted to make a list of the 5 most beautiful women in India [in the order in which they came to my mind] but I should mention here that this list is based on my limited awareness and I’m sure that it’s not entirely accurate.

Mother Teresa – No explanation needed here :)

Irom Sharmila – She’s on a decade-long strike for peace, demanding the repeal of AFSPA, a law that’s created more problems [human rights violations] than it’s solved [controlling insurgencies].

Sampat Pal Devi – Don’t get fooled by the pink color. These women aren’t the sweet ones you see down the road. Proof: The sticks on their hands. Sampat Pal Devi is heads this gang that fights social evils in the state of UP.

Kiran Bedi – India’s most famous IPS officer, Kiran Bedi is an inspiration to thousands of little girls even today. Her courage and activism set her apart from her other counterparts.

Neerja Bhanot – As an airhostess of a Pan Am airlines flight that was hijacked, she saved hundreds of lives, giving up her own. She’s also the first woman recipient of India’s highest award for bravery – the Ashok Chakra.
