Status of Woman and Islam

Islam glorifies women but paradoxically the condition of women rights is tremendously miserable in the Islamic countries. It is not due to Islamic factor but due to cultural factors in different Islamic countries and due to misinterpretation and non-implementation of true Islamic teachings in letter and spirit. Due to ignorance from Islam and divergence from its right path, the indigenous cultures, traditions and customs have overshadowed the golden Islamic principles in the Muslim world.

 Moreover, the west-inspired so-called modern people are dragging women from homes to commercial markets to exploit their feminism. Such earthy traditions and customs are flourishing in our societies that are degrading true status of women. The Muslim countries should bear in mind the following message of the poet of the east,Allama Iqbal:
