Sometimes I Like to Read

A view on feminism today.

It’s the twenty first century. We have a black African-American president, the rainbows are so obvious you can taste them, and the economy is hanging in there.

All of our problems will be solved someday when the human race goes extinct.

But some of them may need to be looked at again.

Don’t get me wrong, i enjoy wearing bras and shaving my arm pits. But sexism is an ongoing problem. Much has been accomplished, but can you honestly say you’ve never felt that a man is better than a woman?

“Men are stronger.”

Let’s focus on issues that matter. Of course men are stronger, in sports and… sports. But mentally and emotionally capable, you cannot compare.

“Men are smarter.”

Of course they are, since nearly all business positions are held by men. Everyone knows if its a male hes a great, powerful leader, if its a female shes just a bitch. The way that we are raised accidentally teaches us that men are superior to women because of stereotypes that claim they are. If you don’t have an open mind, you could never wonder what life would be like if we were all treated equally.

“Women are delicate.”

Some women may enjoy acting as though they need a hero to save them from all their problems, but that’s really not the case. Women don’t need to be saved from every thing to ever harm them. Of course, women are at fault too. You may think you’re helping your fellow females by manipulating the opposite sex to wait on you hand and feet, but you’re really just hurting yourself by carrying on the charade that you cant do it yourself.

And i leave you with this thought, “Women can vote. They can run for government positions, reach amazing goals.”

True, but there is so much more to achieve.
