How to Handle Dating a Jamaican Married Man?

This is a non relationship and it should be treated as such. Do not commit your life and invest your emotions in a married man because you are doomed to get hurt since he is already committed to someone else. Some married men do have egg shell empty marriages and their sweethearts are like their illicit second wives whom they love more than their legal spouse but you and I both know that in jamaica such fairytales are few and far in between.

How to handle dating a married man

I have met a few married men over the last two years and personally I do not endorse relationships with men who are already committed and emotionally unavailable. When you are in a relationship with a married man, you are settling for second place.

Dating a Married ManEven though married men do leave their wives and marry their mistresses, I believe that if a man loves his wife that much to keep our relationship a secret because he does not want to hurt her or be punished for his infidelity then he should stay with his wife. I will not be parry to a man telling me that we have to sleep at a hotel out of town because he wants to preserve his image and relationship.

Some women maybe happy waiting often under some misguided hope that their married lover will leave his wife for her. I personally cannot put my life on hold for someone who is clearly enjoying his.  I cannot attend functions with him nor see him on holidays because I am not legitimate and those events are for his wife, I think he should stay with her.  If she means that much to him then he should commit to her.

But for those women who only crave what belongs to another, here are some tips I contrived from my opinions and that of from some my females friends about dealing with a married man.

First and foremost, accept the relationship for what it is. Do not go about building castles in the sky because most (not all) married men who cheat are serial cheaters. He will soon tire of you and find some new younger toy to play with in his spare time.  My girlfriends claim that you should take what you can get and move on when the times comes.

There is little future with a married man in Jamaica. Married men especially middle and upper-class men rarely leave their blueblood wives for a mistress. Do not plan on getting pregnant to trap him because it will not work. You will find that he disappears as soon as he discovers your situation and you do not hear from him again. you maybe can’t help falling in love with a married man but most men who are married do not need someone to lean on emotionally. He has his wife. Most married men are looking a sex friend, someone to satiate their loins and do things that wifey may not be so inclined to do.

    Very well-said.

you said it right. that is all they seek to do: damage. It’s an ego boost to see whether they can actually take the guy away from the wife. I only know of one case that the man disappeared with the mistress and abandoned his family. not jamaican. many women think that by getting pregnant they will trap the man. I also agree with you. They won’t trap him either.
