Feminism: Diverse Women

Denial of the diversity of women is the interlocking system of oppression. By breaking out of the mold of the “perfect women,” society can break away from the patriarchal control and dominance.
All women are different. The acknowledgement of the differences between women can serve as a force of strength, for it is a powerful connection that can spark creativity. By accepting the differences, one opens herself or himself to a world of knowledge that can effectively change the future to a more accepting and knowing society. Also, by accepting the differences, women may fight against patriarchal control and stop oppression towards women who do not fit the typical mold. Instead of internalizing a patriarchal fear of difference, like racism and homophobia, society as a whole should dismantle the system of oppression.
