3Rd Teen in Prostitution Ring Nabbed

The third member of a gang of teenage Girl’s wanted in connection with human trafficking, procuring for prostitution, forcible confinement, robbery, assault and uttering threats has been found and arrested in Gatineau, Quebec Canada.

Police said the three accused allegedly used social media to lure a trio of other girls, who are between 13 and 17 years old, to a home at a Walkley Road community housing project in southeast Ottawa where she was living.

All are are accused of offering the victims to adult men for sex in three alleged incidents. All of the victims were drugged and then forced into prostitution. What makes this crime so terrible is that the teenage girls acted alone, with no help from an adult, what soever. The teenage gang had no problem finding there victims they simply just used Facebook to befriend and lure them into a feeling of trust. Once this had been accomplished the victims were given instructions to meet there online friends in a public place where they were kidnapped, drugged and then forced into prostitution.

Teenagers who live in the area of the incidents have told police they are now more aware of who they associate with on Facebook, since the prostitution ring was made public.

These horrendous set of crimes committed by girls of such a young age, has opened up a debate asking if it is wise for Facebook to lower the age of its Facebook clients to 13 years of age, as planned.

Authors note: It seems to me that the age of innocence is dropping with each and every passing year. I was no angel when I was young but I would never have contemplated doing anything  remotely similar to this.

I agree with you about the age of innocence I would never have contemplated doing something like that. I think Facebook is the biggest mistake ever made because people are abusing it and ruining it for people who genuinely want to keep in touch, say, with family that lives far away.
