When I first took a glance at the question I almost said yes. But, after taking a few moments to think about what I would really want, I wouldn’t be able to wear a pre-owned wedding gown for my special day. You may wonder why I would want to buy my very own gown when it would be easier to save a few bucks and buy someone else’s dress.

A girl’s dream growing up is to have the most beautiful wedding day they could ever imagine. As am American woman, it is our goal to make it the best day possible, fit for a princess. Having that special dress, custom-fit for the bride, completes this fantasy, making it all the more special.

There are so many places to by dresses new from for a reasonable cost these days, so why shouldn’t you have what you want to make your dream come true. You can find discounted dresses now at http://www.fashionbug.com/ and http://www.davidsbridal.com/ and even small boutiques in your area. It doesn’t cost much if you will need some alterations to your wedding gown.

Just knowing that you will be capturing your special day on film to last a lifetime, you will want to have your own brand new gown. Not too many women wear dresses in 2009 unless it is a special occasion, let alone getting a dress altered for your wedding day. There will be no other dress in your life quite like this perfect wedding gown, so go for it! You will not regret looking perfect and living out your dream.

If you bought a pre-owned dress, you might be able to make some alterations to it. But you would be risking the fact that it may have already been altered for the first bride. This owner’s special day has come and gone and there is no telling how long that gown was sitting in storage waiting for someone else to purchase it. It probably won’t fit quite like a new dress, without any alterations made to it. Brides like to have their dresses hanging in their closets usually for a long while before ever deciding to sell it to someone else. Your best guess is as good as mine as to how long it was hanging out in a bag at the back of someone else’s closet.

So, if dusting off someone else’s dress isn’t your thing, buy one at a good price from your local bridal gown boutique. They always have great deals going on, so check them out first before making any vast decisions. You will not lose in buying something brand new for your beautiful wedding day.
