Women, who have equal rights and authorities as that of our men are facing moral as well as physical abuse since long before independance. Stop Violence Against Women

We The People!
The viral video of recent Guwahati Molestation Case where a teenage girl was molested by a mob of twelve men has brought us face to face with only one of the several faces of patriarchal violence that women face every day. Not all incidents are video taped and incidentally most of them form a part of the normal news coverage attracting no action, no reaction and no surprise at the the new "low" our moral standards achieve everyday.
I felt a searing pain when I read about the Guwahati incident. What was more sickening was people rushing for the video driving some kind of a sadistic pleasure, and media opting for an absolute insensitive coverage of the incident with an only aim to earn maximum brownies out of the matter.
I have tried to express myself at what I feel when I come to know about such disgusting display of falling moral and ethical standards.
