Shopping for Kids Clothing and Things

A great resource for saving money on children’s items.

With so many kids on my hands, all girls, I have learned that consignment shopping is the best way for us to survive. From infant to teenager, children are constantly growing and outgrowing their clothes, so much so, that an item bought today, would not fit tomorrow!
My girls don’t care if the clothes they wear have been used by someone else. I don’t mind either. It’s new to them and cheaper for me.

Lots of wonderful brands, styles and sizes are available and the choices are endless. I have a few favorite stores locally that I use, like Once Upon a Child, and The Children’s Orchard. These places offer more than just clothing- there are wide selections of toys, furniture, accessories and media as well.

It blows my mind that some items for children can be so costly, and perhaps used only once to finally find its resting place in the local dump! What a waste of money, and material.

I try my best to be frugal and this is one way I feel I am conquering my budget and saving the planet at the same time!

How wonderful is that?
