What is He Really Thinking?
Men seem to have a language all their own, so how do you know what he is really thinking? This short guide will help you to understand men a little better.
Sometimes you need a translator to explain to you what your man is really thinking. These are some examples of the most common things you will hear from your man with an explanation of what he is really saying.
He says “You look nice”. You have just spent four hours getting ready for your date and you were hoping for more than “nice”. This actually means that he is impressed. Nice in his language is a compliment. The fact that he has made a positive comment shows that he has taken notice and likes what he sees.
He says “I like your hair as it is” after you tell him that you are going to the hairdresser for a new look. He is probably feeling a bit insecure and worried that other men will be looking at you. This is his way of letting you know that you are important to him and he does not want to share you or have rivals for your attention.
He says “Let’s go and see that horror film at the Cinema” when he knows you really want to see the romantic comedy. He is hoping you will sit in the back row with him and turn to him for comfort during the scary bits. This is his way of getting close to you without actually saying he wants to!
He says “Open relationships are really popular now, what do you think?” He has probably got his eye on someone else already and is hoping you will give him permission to indulge himself with your blessing.
He says “Marriage is outdated and it’s only a piece of paper anyway.” He is not ready to commit. He wants to pretend he is still free and single. Beware, he may not feel as strongly for you as you do for him.
He says “My mother says you should do it this way”. Run! He is obviously still tied to his mother’s apron strings.
He says “You dress too young for your age”. He is feeling insecure and is afraid of the competition. Perhaps he is feeling old and boring and is scared you will leave him for someone young and fun.
He says “I bought the new car because I thought you liked it”. If the car is red, shiny and a two-seater he is probably feeling old and boring and is maybe hitting a mid life crisis. You may need to keep an eye on him to make sure he does not make a fool of himself.
To translate your man’s language you have to think of the least likely explanation and this will probably be pretty close!
Have fun trying to work out what he is really thinking!
