Signs Your Boyfriend is Unhinged

Love is a tricky thing, and more often than not we don’t realize we’re not in love with someone until it’s too late. Fact is we often put up with far more from someone we think we love than we ever would from anyone else. That goes double for people we truly do love. So without further ado, here are some sure fire signs you should be shopping for a new boyfriend.

1. He flies into a fit of rage at the drop of a hat. When I say fit of rage I’m not talking about yelling, I’m talking about physical violence. Is your man known to put holes in walls when you get grounded, go somewhere without telling him first, look in the general direction of another guy? If so, you’re taking a big risk staying with someone so violent. He may be the type who would never hurt another person, but you never know and it’s something you’ll have to spend your whole relationship fearing. Either way you’re looking at a lot of wall repairs and door replacements in your future. If he is the type to hit you, don’t just take it, speak out. Physical abuse is no laughing matter.
2. He must have absolute domination over you at all times. I’m not talking about being on top during sex, I’m talking about knowing where you are, what you’re doing, who you’re doing it with, what you’re wearing, every little aspect of your life must be in his hands. Seriously, why would anyone put up with this? There is no excuse for this sort of behavior.
3. He quits his job or school because it is taking up too much of the time he could be spending with you. If your boy friend does this, congratulations you’re now the proud sugar momma to a free loader. If your boyfriend does this I highly recommend you do everything you can to get him to reverse the decision. The longer you let him get away with living off you, the harder it will be to break the habit.

Each of these traits can lead to a long and miserable relationship, and combined you’re looking at a very dangerous situation to be in. Don’t let love convince you these things are okay. They aren’t.
