Julia Salinger is the oldest daughter of five kids on the show Party of Five. She is a writer and very academically inclined. She is also not afraid to try new things, and jumps in all consumed into whatever she is interested. She becomes as consumed in trying new things as she is in meeting new boys. At times she becomes so consumed she becomes selfish.

Julia goes after something or someone until she gets it, no matter what the consequences. She puts all of herself into what she wants. Her parents’ death in the car accident causes her to grow up much faster than other kids her age. She may try to behave like an adult and take care of herself, but at times is very immature.

Her relationships go as follows: Julia became interested in Justin; she stole him from her best friend Libby. Julia and Libby stop being friends. She becomes interested in Griffin despite the fact she is in a relationship with Justin and she kisses Griffin. She is very self-conscious about not having a boy interested in her, so when Sam Brody, the roofer, comes over to fix the roof, Julia chases after him even when she probably should not considering Sam is 24, and Julia is only 16. Of all the things Julia does know is that she is pretty. Her self-confidence lacks when it comes to boys, and she does seem to be attracted to the abusive guys. Julia is very attentive and not afraid to reach out to people.

She cares about her family, and her friends, but she also puts herself ahead of other people. Julia looks out for her brothers and sisters. Everyone should be willing to jump in and try something new, and meet new people and not care about labels people put on others. Julia is also very self-sufficient. She does what she needs to do.
