When Will I Meet Mr Right?

Guess what people? Walt Disney lied! There is no handsome Prince destined to ride into your life and " take you away from all this", we are the authors of our OWN destiny.

Why do so many people, women in particular seem to hold on to the concept that there is a Mr Right, the ONE, who is destined to come into their life and offer them a happy ever after?  Where are all these perfect men?  The answer is simple, they live in the imagination of story tellers and people who CHOOSE to believe in them.

Life is a series of twists and turns, cycles and circles, choices, options, and most of all FREE WILL.  This means that WE decide which choices we make and which options are best for us.

There is another aspect to consider here and that is the definition of the ‘right one’.  Regardless of what your religious persuasion may be, life is essentially about growth.  So define RIGHT.  Is ‘right’ the person  who gives you the mythical ‘happy ever after’, or is ‘right’ the person who triggered your personal growth and forced you to face your own issues, which ultimately lead you to become a different and often more rounded and compassionate person?

Often in the midst of the worse possible pain, there is a gift, buried deep down.  Without the pain the gift would never have been revealed.

Consider also that when we find ourselves in situations that are not ideal, we often pray, manifest, or simply wish for change.  Some times change comes at a cost.  To be where you hope to be, you may need to let go of old habits, ideas and dysfunction.  When we refuse to acknowledge and deal with this stuff, life can often throw someone in our path who forces us to do the work.  When the work is done, we are closer to being able to achieve our desires.  The obstacles within us have to be removed to make way for what we want.

We are essentially Oysters and the people we  encounter, both good and bad, are the grains of sand that make the Pearl.  On a deep level we often KNOW what we need to be the most beautiful pearl and we allow in the grains of sand that will do the best job.
