Five useful tips on finding the man of your dreams.

  1. Put yourself out there. It’s all well and good sitting at home eating chocolate and dreaming about that perfect, tall dark and handsome man who sweeps you off your feet, but, it’s never going to happen unless you actually go out and meet people. So, put on that new outfit you’ve been saving for a special occasion, call your friends and do something social. Whether you go for drinks at a bar or something more creative, such as, joining the local art class or learning a new language, you will have the perfect opportunity to meet new, interesting and single men.
  2. Be Confident.
  3. Talk to strangers.
  4. Don’t give them your life story.
  5. Internet Dating.

Good look, may you find your Prince charming.

If all else fails, try using the internet. A lot of people are wary of internet dating, and this is certainly justified, but, despite all the horror stories, there have been many successes too. If you decide to use a dating website, be honest. Don’t be tempted to alter your age, use a picture from 10 years ago, or, lie about your age. It’s not worth it and it will probably come back to bite you in the end. Similarly don’t believe everything you see on potential dates’ profiles, it may not be true. If you manage to weed out someone who you would like to meet, be careful and be sure to meet them in a safe, public place where you can get help easily and be sure to tell friends where you are going and how long you will be.If you get to the dating stage with a guy, the worst thing you can do is blurt out the details of every failed romance you’ve had in the past o r how much you loved your poor dog who passed away last Christmas. Of course, these things have played a big part in shaping who you are today and are, no doubt, important to you, but it can be a bit overwhelming on a first date! Instead, keep the conversation light, talk about topical things in the news or your favourite films, try to find some common ground and you will be fine.It can be scary to strike up a conversation with someone you don’t know, but, they could be that special person you’re looking for and you could totally miss the opportunity to get together with them, and, even if you are not compatible, you are widening your social circle, thus, increasing your chances of meeting the perfect partner. If you spend all night sitting in the corner, quite as a mouse, there’s no way you are going to get noticed. Loosen up, have some fun, dance like a maniac, just don’t blend into the background where you won’t be noticed for the gorgeous and fun girl you are.
