The Most Common Dating Errors That Men Make

Men try all sort of tricks in their attempt to impress their dates. They resort to cheap tricks or big moves to be noticed. But do all these tricks work on the ladies?
You know those romantic movies where men move mountains and walk through fire (figuratively, of course) to impress the girl of their dreams? Well, those tricks only work in movies. While a lot of women dream of big romantic gestures and sudden trips to Paris as a response to the ultimate question “how do I find a man,” these dreams are often accompanied by imaginary men who look like Brad Pitt or Robert Pattinson. If you are a single Regular Joe, you may want to take it easy and avoid scaring girls away. The goal is to find the right girl for you and to make her interested in you. Here are some dating errors that men make:
1. Trying Too Hard
The point of dating is for you and your date to get to know each other better. Getting out of your way to do things that you think will impress her will only make you look like a fraud. Agreeing with everything she says and pretending to be interested in everything she talks about will be your downfall. Women do not like men who are pretentious and phony. They want their dates to just be relaxed and natural. Your true colors will eventually come out, and your chances of getting further with the woman will be lost when she discovers the truth about you. Just be yourself and focus on the things that will make you more interesting to her.
2. One Girl at a Time
This is a bit controversial, but guys who want to “score” a lot need to widen their horizons and not limit their social dating to one girl only. Find a date who can potentially become someone more important. Seeing different women obviously increases your chances of getting some action and your chances of finding the one person that is truly meant for you. Limiting yourself to one person will make you miss out on what the world has to offer, and may cost you the opportunity to meet your potential soul mate. Note that the term “dating” is used loosely in this sense, and does not pertain to serious relationships. As soon as somebody stands out, you can work on making her your girlfriend and you can start working on being monogamous.
3. The Friend Role
There is a big difference between being someone who knows how to listen, and someone who will always be there to listen. A good listener will make a great boyfriend because he knows how to properly communicate with his girl. Someone who will always be there to listen, on the other hand, is someone who might unjustly be filed under the “friend zone.” If you have romantic feelings for a girl, being in the friend zone will be the end of your journey. She will consider you more like a girl friend rather than someone she can have sexual or romantic relations with. When dating a girl, make sure that you putting yourself up as someone who will bring romance to her life and not someone she will run to every time she has problems.
4. Spending Too Much Money
Do not waste too much money on ladies that you hardly know, especially for girls you find at a date site. This also applies for blind dates or when you ask your pal to “find me a date.” Unless she is a prostitute or a gold digger, she will appreciate the chance to split the bill once in a while. Focus on getting to know each other and avoid spending too much money on the first couple of dates. Your date may think that you are trying too hard to impress her. She might also get used to the treatment and become too dependent on you in the future. Save your hard earned money for when you finally find an official girlfriend or a wife.
