Still Single

Do you ever ponder the question, “Why am I still single?” In order to answer the question you rush out to buy magazines and books. You even attend seminars and search the internet looking for answers. Instead of reading material that’ll help you catch him or her you’re reading ways to keep him or her. I applaud those that already have a somebody but I’m concerned about those who have nobody. Here are some tips on how to catch the girl in aisle nine or the guy at the soccer game.

First things first I often hear, “First ya gotta get yourself together!”. No, I’m not just talking about the outer you. Yes it’s always good to improve on the external but sometimes we neglect the internal. Think positive, don’t keep meditating on why you’re single and why you can’t find “the right one”.  Learn to love you. Take yourself out once in awhile. Make it  a “Me Day” by spending time with yourself and doing what you like best. Make time for a self interview asking questions such as, “How do I view myself? How do others view me? What are my strengths?  Why do I want to be in a relationship? What have I learned from my previous relationship(s) that will help me in a new?” Chances are there might be someone else out there whose having a “Me day”  too! Wouldn’t that be great to move up to a “We day”. Again, don’t get out there and start going to places you hate in hopes of turning that “Me day” into a “We day”. Here are a few places you may want to go for a “Me Day”.

A coffee house such as Starbucks. Some bookstores have coffee shops in them. This atmosphere would be perfect for those who love drinking coffee while browsing for a good book. However, if this atmosphere isn’t your cup of coffee why spend time here to see what’s brewing? When it’s time to check out you’re stuck with a $50.00 book you couldn’t afford and a cup of coffee. What a pity holding that cup of coffee because it never occurred to you that you hate coffee.

The zoo, calling all of you animal lovers. Isn’t that nice to see someone who has a soft place in his/her heart for these creatures. Just think, you’re walking through the zoo enjoying yourself. You visit the lions, the tigers, and oh my a homo sapien has caught you’re eye. You believe some things are just pre-destined as you hear a bird’s whistle  under the clear blue sky.

Church, for all those looking for some divine intervention. Saints both old, young, and new to God. In this supernatural atmosphere a setting of three may become a party of nine. A “Me Day” is all that you were intending for but then you realize you can join others in the same boat as you. Singles all aboard and lets not forget you!

These are just a few of the setting to put yourself in a “Me Day” kinda mood.  But if you’re still moping around asking yourself “Why am I still single”? Don’t worry the majority of us still haven’t got a clue!
