Is he married? Tips for finding out.
In my opinion relationships are built upon understanding and knowledge about the other party.
Things as simple as their preferences help us build up a picture about our partner, do they like what we like, or do they have very different tastes.
In order to arrive at an understanding about an individual we therefore need to question him or her, and from the answers we are given we can then make an informed judgment if that person is the right on for you.
All too often we ask questions without real thought or quite often hear the answers but do not listen.
So if you were looking to ascertain if someone were already in a relationship or even married think now about the kind of questions you could ask, simple things about time apart for example & “did you do last” followed by gentle probing can often reveal a great deal.
Also when we have conversations with our partners it often becomes a tennis match, they speak, we speak, they speak, we speak, they speak, we speak, LISTEN and use silence, when someone has answered a question pause for thought and consideration it is amazing how much additional information they will often volunteer.
If you consider it therefore the only way we can to know and genuinely understand an individual is by questioning and listening.
The author Michael Webb has written what I believe to be an interesting book on the subject of questioning in relationships, he goes as far as to suggest that anyone be they, single, straight, married or divorced would benefit from considering the questions they ask of their partner, entitled “1000 questions for couples”
He suggests that liking similar foods or the same activities is not sufficient to make a real connection with a partner and has compiled a list of 1000 questions to consider as part of the relationship development process.
Either way, we could all benefit from considering the questions and more importantly the responses we get form our existing or prospective partners
