This article is in response to user 8Shei8 on how to ask a Guy out on date after seeing my Article on how to ask a girl for a first date.
I have never had a problem with guys getting to ask me a date. There have been very few instances when I have personally taken the initiative. My first time was while I was doing Graduation. There was this guy who was 2 years my junior and a very handsome guy whom plenty of girls had a crush on. But he was this silent type who never even looked at a girl. When he is not attending the class he would always be listening to some music on his walkman. My friends even put a bet that whoever gets him for a date would get a grant treat. According to my plan I walked to him and said “I noticed that you are fond of music. I want to buy some music for a close friend. Would you mind coming with me to the music store down the street and help me choose after the classes?” I did not have any hope that he would agree but he nodded. After the classes he followed me to the store and helped me to choose 2 music albums. When he was about to part I said “I have a craving for an ice-cream. Let me buy you an ice cream. Please come with me. Don’t say no” and I pulled him by hand to the ice cream parlor which was only next door to the music store. He replied “you do not have to buy me an ice cream because I helped you choose.” I did not allow him to pay for the ice cream and said “No, I am not buying because you helped me I genuinely wanted to eat an ice cream. If you feel that you need to return the favor you can buy me an ice cream tomorrow.” The next day he asked me out after the classes but not for an ice cream but for a Biryani with him. My friends observed us wide mouthed when he said “I was thinking of going to the Chicken Centre for a Biryani. I would be happy if you come with me”. Chicken Centre is 15 minutes walk from my college and reputed for the Dum Biryani. I readily agreed and followed him. When we reached the college parking lot he said “do you mind coming with me on my bike? Otherwise I have to come back to take it.” I said that I have no problem and got behind him after winking at my friends who looked shocked. After that we became so friendly that we always had some excuse or the other to meet each other and soon he dumped his walkman for me.
