There are a million pick up gurus and dating experts out there for men but who says pick up lines and flirting tactics are only for men to use? Here’s how to get the man you want with our version of the art of pickup.

Say you’re out and about with your gal pals and they all seem to be able to get men talking to them except for you. Why is it that we girls even in this day and age still aren’t allowed to be direct when it comes to chatting men up? Keep reading as we give you a few flirtatious techniques and surefire lines that will get men finding you irresistible.
PICK HIM UP IN LESS THAN 30 SECONDS
Any number of things you can say or do will clue guys in and let him know you’re interested. Check out some of our tips to pick him up as quickly as possible!
Flirtatious Eyes: The quickest and easiest way is with eye contact. Sliding a gaze over to your object of desire and then moving away is a well-known flirting technique. Come back after 10-15 seconds and gaze at him again, meeting his eyes. Hold his gaze and then look away. Men rarely resist a woman who isn’t afraid to openly admire them.
Accidental Trip: This is an almost guaranteed way of getting a guy to talk to you. Walk past him and accidentally trip into his lap or fall into him! The difference between a man and a woman doing this is that when you’re a woman, it can seem charming whereas if a man did this to you, he’d probably get a slap in the face!
Just Say Hi: It may sound simple but when it comes to approaching guys, the simplest way is sometimes the best. Just say ‘Hi’. He’ll usually be so glad that he didn’t have to make the first move that he’ll pick up the conversation from there.
PICK HIM UP IN UNDER 1 MINUTE
If you’ve been eyeing someone or been talking to him for awhile yet don’t know how to let him know you’re interested, here are some ways that will instantly let him know that you’re ready and available to him.
Inviting Gaze: Men can be intuitive if you send out the right signals. When you want to capture his attention, speak in your normal tone but put on a seductive and inviting look in your eyes. Let him connect and know you want him with your eyes but keep your conversational tone and subject. This can create a real sense of flirtatiousness between the two of you!
The Brush Past: Picking up a man rarely needs to be a vocal or direct approach. Physical pickups can work just as well as vocal ones. Reach by a man at a bar and brushing his arm or squeezing past him when on your way to the other side of the room can work on so many levels. You can make it seem unintentional and keep him guessing. Seal the deal with a cheeky smile.
Be bold: If you notice a guy checking you out and you’re interested too, the best way to let him know you noticed is to get straight to the point. Walk up and say, “So, when are you taking me out?” Its fun, flirtatious and he won’t be able to resist!
PICK HIM UP IN UNDER 5 MINUTES
You’re introduced to someone or you spot him in a club. You need a little more time in getting his attention. Here are some ways you can get him talking to you and asking you out in a matter of minutes!
Seize the Moment: Talk about something that just happened when you meet him. For instance if you’re at the coffee shop and someone decides to kick up a storm at the cashier, turn around to the guy of your dreams and say ‘So what’s up with that guy?’
Be Specific: If you’re looking for a conversation starter with someone you were just introduced to, be specific. For example, your topic could be specific to the event that you’re at. If you’re at a wedding, ask him if he’s a friend of the bride or groom and how he met them. Going into detail will get him talking for longer!
Do I Know You: Telling a little white lie when you meet someone doesn’t hurt especially if it turns out to be a conversation starter. If you meet someone cute and don’t know what to say to him, pretend you know him from somewhere. Ask him if he went to the same university as you did or if he knows a friend of yours. Even if he doesn’t have a clue what you’re talking about, it’ll get the flow going!
PICK HIM UP IN UNDER 10 MINUTES
If you aren’t bold enough to make a move spontaneously, here are a few tips on how you can show your interest and get the man to make the spontaneous move.
Mirror Him: Imitation is the best form of flattery. When you’ve been talking to and flirting with a guy for some time, start to imitate his actions. For example, drink when he drinks or subtly imitate a gesture. Beware! If this is done too early in the game, it could irritate your prospective date so only do this after warming up with previous flirting techniques.
Leave A Note: If you’ve caught someones eye at a restaurant or a bar and you don’t know how to respond, you can always use a third party to get the message through. Leave a note via a waiter or bartender and have it delivered after you leave. This keeps a little mystery alive! Write your phone number on it and wait for him to call you!
Bring A Pet: Go for a walk in the park or a run on the beach with your dog. You’ll definitely get appreciative remarks and if a cute guy happens to have a dog too, you can exchange pet owner secrets. The bonus here is, if a guy likes your pooch, he can’t be all bad!

Well, I must be doing something wrong. Have tried all of the above, and the guys have “turned green,” and the landing was less than pleasant because he moved. But yeah, thanks for the tips. They didn’t work for me. One even went as far to tell me, he was “uncomfortable.”

Tripping?… Seriously? I would consider a girl drunk or clumsy if they ever did that to me… I would strongly advise girls to not do that one…

Well done… nicely written and on point… If and when I see something I like… I observe it to utilise the best approach, then I set my goal, tantalize it, mystify it and then make it putty in my hands… LOL…
Though there had been a few complicated cases, but in the end, when they are that complicated to begin with, does one really want to get to know them any better when they are already too much hard work…
