How to sharpen your skills to be a good customer service specialist.

Customer service representative is someone who deals with customer during or after purchased of products and giving services to fill customer satisfaction. In order to mastering these skills, you need a lot of time. They are not born to be good but it is determined how well you understand the meaning of good CSR.

 

Listen carefully to customer

When dealing with customer, you should listen to them carefully. Do not interrupt while they are trying to tell their problems regarding of product they are using. Listening carefully can give you space to know their main point and give suitable solutions to their problem.

 

Don’t try to make promises

Promise is not a good plan for you to take others loyalty or keeping them. Once you broke your promise, they will be easily changed to the other service or product. For example, don’t tell your customer that they will receive their product in exact time. A good customer service specialist will tell the customer that they will receive their product as soon as possible.

 

Deal with every problem

Sometimes a customer service representative will put away a small complaint that he/she thinks it should be forgotten. A customer service specialist should be able to please this kind of problems this one time only. Everyone will remember good services and this will keep your business to broad.

 

Offer assistance

Even there is no on the spot profit receive, there is nothing to lose by offering help to someone. For instance, if a biker stop by at your workshop wants to adjust his motorbike brakes, you can offer him free service of adjusting his motorbike brakes. Where do you think he will go next time if his motorbike broke down? Of course he will come to your workshop, right?

 

Serve with honesty

Honesty is what people are looking for. Don’t try to bluff and give excuses that don’t make sense for any inconvenience. Tell the customer that your team are working on it and will give constant service to them. Apologize is a one way to take back customer heart.

 

As I mention earlier, you need time to sharpen your customer service skills. Always smile when facing with them. Actually, there are many more skills you should know but the above skills are the most important one. A good customer service specialist is able to handle all customer problems in a short time.
