Why I Think Housewives Should Get a Paycheck
The underappreciation of a housewife.
Our society has a terrible view of the job of a housewife as demeaning, unuseful and that she is lowering herself to do such an unimportant job. Nothing could be further from the truth. Women that choose to stay home and nurture their children and husbands have a greater impact on society than society would choose to believe. Great women in our historys past have reared awesome leaders who have made our country what it is today. They chose to do this most important job that so many degrade. I feel that the job that my wife does as a housewife is so much more important than the things that I do. God has blessed most women with the fortitude to be the glue in the home.
If momma ain’t happy then nobody is happy. She is the center of the home and brings us all together. She has the nurturing skills that God provided her for our little ones from her womb, to her breast, to the life that our children will one day lead. Choosing family over a career can be one of the smartest decisions that any of us could make. Once your life is nearing an end, I doubt many would say I wish I would have chosen a career over the time I invested in my family. And the job is much more daunting and demanding than any other job because it is a 24/7 job. Mothers do not get time off. They are on call at all times. They need recognition and a break from the task that they have chosen. God bless our Godly women who have chosen such a great responsiblity.
Gods reward will be great for these women. One reward is how your children grow into men and women of respect and honor. The human greatness often begins with awesome dedicated mothers. So do not buy into the lies of our society. Womanhood is most esteemed through being a housewife. Choose what is most important for your family if you can financially. On that note, most of us could live on less to make this possible. Consider the long term affects of this on your family. Most of our decisions as men and women are self centered and not based on the needs of others. Giving your life for the good of another has it roots on Jesus Christ who died for our sins. What greater role model could we pattern our lives after.

What a worth while article! you are right that people look down on women that stay at home to bring up a family. Even my Doctor asked me if there was a reason I didn’t go ‘out’ to work!
