Conservative Female Abuse Targets More Than Just the Famous

Conservative Syndicated Columnist and best selling author, Michelle Malkin, coined the phrase in her September 3, 2008 article The Four Stages of Conservative Female Abuse. 

I’m relieved to know we can finally put a name to this rapidly growing, frightfully disturbing trend.

These days, it’s not enough to target the most vocal and popular Right wingers like Sarah Palin, Ann Coulter, and Condi Rice. Oh no, the problem is much more pervasive and insidious than that. Conservative women should be deeply concerned because the Left, if allowed to continue, will succeed in their goal of making all Conservative women shut their mouths and go away, hopefully once and for all.

In the last two years I have noticed a turn in the debates between Republican and Democrat women on internet discussion boards. What used to merely be a division in principles has turned into vulgar attacks on Conservative women who dare to speak there minds. I’ve often found that women on the Right, like myself, are very passionate about the values we hold dear. Many are good debators, however it seems we aren’t so bold when it comes to arguing against dozens of personal attacks and having your own words and intent twisted by the opponent.  I noted with some sadness that a Conservative would often back down and slink to the corner, like the Left thinks a good little Republican should. How can one person hope to gain ground in debate against a verbally abusive majority? Clearly, as demonstrated time and again, it’s time to walk away. You cannot reason with crazy. And if someone else, a friend perhaps, came along to call Libs on their childish behavior, that person became a target too~ called a whiner, told to suck it up; If you can’t take it, get lost!

This isn’t debate; It’s bullying, plain and simple. One blogger likened what she witnessed to baby chicks attacking one of their own flock, for no apparent reason other than simply because they can. What’s more astonishing? the Left denies this behavior takes place.

Cross posting (commenting on the opposite’s support board) on the part of the Left became a regular occurance, even though it was almost always forbidden in the guidelines. Taking screenhots of posts, including family pictures, from one board to a competing forum became commonplace, though that too is against site rules. Admittedly, the Right has their moments too, but not nearly as frequently and certainly not including the vicious gang mentality. I’ve seen unsuspecting Conservative women debating on one forum while their liberal opponents, the very ones spouting off against intolerance and hate speech, are spreading gossip, lies, and rumours about them, slandering their personal character without their knowledge on blogs. Little seeds of truth are distorted into something ugly, and from there the pile on ensues. You’ll see 10, 20, sometimes 30 other women join in like vultures on a carcass. They call them names even Sandra Bernhard couldn’t think of, call their husbands and children “ugly” or worse, wish terrible things upon them, vow to “get at” them even if it requires creating a false user account, and then encourage their clique of friends to do the same. The pure hatred- for women they don’t even know, women who have never done anything to them personally, women who have done nothing other than declare a different political position- is shocking.

If a Conservative target has ever let it be known on a discussion board that at one time she lived anything but a spotless life she’s called a hypocrite. If she has ever mentioned her support of immigration laws she is called a racist. And if she dared speak out against gay marriage, rest assured she’d branded with a big H for homophobe. If she’s Christian? Well, in their view that just explains why she’s so stupid in the first place. Christian Conservatives who stand firm must be destroyed.  And the best way to do that is by giving us all the verbal slamming they think we deserve. Out comes the heavy artillary~ the B-word is nothing.  The C-word seems to be the word of choice. Real classy, that miserable bunch.

Their candidate won the election. You’d think they’d be elated and looking forward to the next 4 years for all the rainbows and lollipops they were promised. Instead, I see even more discussions simply meant to attack other women~ they call them Drama Boards~ and sometimes hide behind a 100 post count minimum wall of privacy so they can filter out members who may reveal their true purpose.

I urge all Conservative women, those who participate on these type of discussion forums-  Do not become a pawn in the game. Don’t allow yourselves to be abused. There is no reasoning with the Liberal Left. If they haven’t verbally attacked you yet, rest assured of two things. At some point, when they run out of other targets, they’ll be all over you. And when they do attack, you’ll be in for a verbal beating, the likes of which you’ve never seen.

Do not give them that power.
