Molybdenum is required for the oxidation of sulfur, a component of the protein.Molybdenum contained in milk, beans, bread and wheat.

Symptoms include:
- Rapid heartbeat
- Shortness of breath
- nausea
- vomiting
- disorientation
- Coma.

Total recovery could be obtained by giving molybdenum.

Excess molybdenum

People who consume large amounts of molybdenum may have symptoms that resemble gout, including elevated levels of uric acid in the blood and joint pain.Miners exposed to molybdenum dust can have symptoms that are not specific.
