Fashion magazines and blogs are raving about new fashion outfit Vincent Villarin and Joanne Cordero Reyes. However, just who is Cordero Reyes?  Style Magazine has noted her as one of the best up and coming fashion designers in the industry, Joanne Cordero Reyes is the head designer and founder of Vincent Villarin has been turning heads with her feminine, romanticism inspired clothing.

Born and raised in San Bernardino Valley California, the 27 year old Reyes became inspired by her mother’s bridal shop where she would spend her after school hours, and started doing embroidery when she was 9 years old. By the time she was 11, she was designing custom pieces for her mother’s bridal shop clientele. She is Filipino and Chinese on her father’s side and Spanish on her mother’s side. It has also been stated that her Filipino background has taught her the values of hard work and the importance of team work. Those values have influenced her to use these aspects in every part of her young career.

She began her studies at the University of Washington in Seattle, then took  off to New York City to study at Pearson’s School of Design for architecture but then switched career paths to fashion design, and by 2002, she headed off to Paris France to finish her studies as a fashion designer. During this time she worked under Ji Haye Couture and learning the ins and outs of the business. Since then she has interned at several of the top fashion houses such as Vivienne Tam, Jill Stuart, and House of Diehl.

She has also dressed such stars as Demi Moore, Jennifer Lopez, Salma Hayek, Rihanna, Terri Hatcher,  and many other red carpet celebrities. She dressed them while working for red carpet designers J Mendel and Reem Acra for a course of two years after she graduated and where she was one of their head designers.

After moving to Los Angeles California and designing for Monique L’hullier’s custom luxury fall/ winter collection in 2007, Joanne started her own fashion house Vincent Villarin. Named after her grandfather Vincent Villarin Cordero, an early 20th century composer, the fashion house became an outlet for her more romantic looks which fashion magazines everywhere are calling complete elegance.  She has brought her rich couture background along with her sleek feminine textures with a hint of edginess and sex appeal that has turned into beautiful pieces which have become all the rage. After only two lines out on the red carpet, no wonder Bumble and Bumble has noted her as one of the top 5 designers to watch out for. Joanne has taken her grandfathers advice of learning the importance of happiness in life and to carry out your dreams.

Therefore, what is next for Joanne Cordero Reyes in her fall/winter 2009 line up? Several fashion magazines and critics are most likely anxiously waiting for her new line to come out. Many of the fashion experts perceive her as the next big name in the fashion industry. The truly fashion savvy individuals will not be disappointed in her next line this fall.
