As the cold weather approaches, we start thinking of warmer footwear and boots are hotter than ever this year. Here are the 2007-2008 winter boot trends.
As the weather starts to turn colder, it’s time to put away the sandals and bring out cozier, more substantial footwear. What could be more fun and comfortable to wear than a nice great pair of boots? The boot will be a focal point during the 2007-2008 fall and winter season with styles running the gamut from high heeled dress boots to more casual flat heeled boots that coordinate beautifully with jeans. Here are some of the best 2007-2008 winter boot trends:
Lace up boots
Boot designers have made boots more interesting this year by adding laces which not only adds a sense of style but also makes them easier to take on and off. Look for adorable ankle length lace up boots with wedge heels to be particularly popular. They were seen all over the European and American runways teamed with dresses and skirts. You’ll also find lace up boots sporting ultra high heels with patent leather detailing.
White boots
For a completely new look for the winter, look for the emergence of white boots. Expect to see the white boot in stretch fabrics with a modern, futuristic look that compliments the current clothing trends. It doesn’t hurt that some of the celebrities such as Nicole Ritchie and Lindsay Lohan have been seen sporting this fashion trend. If you have short legs, this look could be difficult to wear since the white boot tends to cut the length of your legs.
Embellished boots
Look for eye catching embellishments on winter boots for 2007-2008. You’ll find elaborate metallic buckles, interesting ties and wraps, and elaborate zippers on this year’s hottest boots. Boots will also have piping in contrasting shades to give even more style and interest to the design. This year’s boots are anything but plain.
The low heeled boot
Women who value comfort as well as style will appreciate the emergence of the low heeled riding boot which will be so popular in 2007-2008. These are boots you can pair with jeans and wear on an every day basis and still be hot and trendy. The toes of these boots will be predominantly rounded, although the square toes can still be seen on some styles. You’ll love this “go anywhere” style of boot.
Boots with fur collars
These boots give a whole new meaning to warmth and comfort. From real fur to realistic looking fakes, these fur collars will add style and flare to boot designs this winter.
With so many choices, it shouldn’t be hard to find the perfect winter boot this year. The boot trends for 2007-2008 are designed to be both practical and glamorous.
