Regular face paints are bright and bold and can add to costumes, make children’s parties more exciting and can enhance stage makeup considerably.

Regular face paints are bright and bold and can add to costumes, make children’s parties more exciting and can enhance stage makeup considerably. However, when it comes to trying out something new, there are plenty of different options and a range of characters you can create using metallic colors.

Robots

To create a robot, you need to apply a simple primer or shimmer base coat with a wet sponge. You then need to choose which sections of your face you want to look “metal”. The effect we want to create is that pieces of metal have been stuck to your face using nuts and bolts. Using the straight edge of a sponge and a metallic color of choice (a metallic blue will stand out well), highlight a chunk of your chin, forehead and nose. You can then use a thin brush and dark blue or black paint to create the contours f the “metal” and also create the screws that will make it look like your face paint has been welded to your face.

Statues

If you have ever walked past a live statue in your local city center and been impressed with their face and body paint, this is a great option for you. Get some friends to join in too and go as a collection of metallic statues to your next fancy dress party. Choose gold or silver and choose the outfit you want to wear with it – remember that the paint can get everywhere so don’t wear your best clothes!

Flowers

Flowers look beautiful as a face paint design even with bold colors, but if you add a metallic shimmer to them, they can really stand out. The best thing about metallic Wolfe FX makeup is that you don’t have to apply a lot of it, as it makes its own statement really clearly. As you never use a lot at a time, it means that it lasts for ages and you can use it over and over for any occasion that you want to wear it.

To make flowers on your face using metallic paint, choose an area where you want to apply the paint such as on one side of your forehead and down the side of the eye. Apply a light base paint to allow for blending of colors if you need to, and then add as many or as few colorful flowers as you want. Metallic paints don’t just come in gold, silver and bronze – other shades such as blue, pick, purple, orange or green can look great too.

Body Jewelry

Every worn a face paint necklace? Didn’t think so. Choose some of your favorite metallic colors and get creating a shimmering necklace for yourself which you can wash off at the end of the night. You can paint something as garish or as subtle as you like and can use any of the metallic colors that you think will go best with your outfit. It’s cheaper than jewelry and you never have to wear the same thing twice!
