What Do You Think About Motherhood?

There is a certain picture which comes to our minds when we think of a mother.  An empathetic woman, who is ready to sacrifice all and works without a break at home with no financial gains, her only  wish is to care and love her children, don’t you think so?  In fact motherhood suggests pain and sacrifice from the day of conception. It may sound depressing but it brings about a wonderful feeling in a mother to know that her kids are healthy and happy and this is all she wants from her kids. This is motherhood.

This is not only true for human mothers but every mother in the animal kingdom. It is well known that you can get killed by a tigress if you dare to go close to her cubs. All mothers of the animal world train their young ones to ways to live in their world and each mother will go to any extend to protect her baby.  Once a woman conceives she starts dreaming about her baby and there are several expectant mothers who even talk to their unborn child and are very comfortable with that. Women plan for the kids’ future, education, food, home, clothing etc. Mother may be rich or poor all have the common quality of protecting her offspring.

Child is an extension of herself for a mother, which may not be true for fathers. A mother will treat her child like herself as nature has bestowed this to her so that the specie carries on. No doubt a mother is special and it has been seen by studies, that babies stop crying by listening to the sound record of their mother’s womb. They felt safe there and when they are born they are shocked by the difference and the sound of womb makes them feel familiar and they feel reassured. This is the reason for touch being very effective and the more mother touch their kids they feel more loved. This gives them a feeling protection and reassurance of the mother.

It is vital for the child to be grateful to his mother as no one, even the father, makes as much sacrifice as a mother to bring him up. Mother is kindness and for a child she is God.
