The Trucker’s Wife

 I am the wife of an over-the-road truck drivier. While it can be quite difficult it does have some wonderful perks.  We only get to see each other on the weekends, but they are great. Even though we have been  married for a few years, we are still like newly weds. It’s tough on a marriage but if you work together, it’s not so bad. While he is gone, I miss him a lot, but we make sure that we talk everyday. We talk about our experiences while apart, what the kids are doing and learning, and how much we look forward to the weekend.

We also have two small children, which I stay at home with at all times.  I don’t miss a minute of their lives. It’s wonderful, and I honestly wouldn’t trade it for anything. They do keep me on my toes however. Having two kids can be a handful. That’s for sure. But I love them.  They make me smile when I need it the most, and keep me happy when I’m sad. It sounds cheesy, but they honestly are my sunshine after the rain.

Being the wife of a truck driver is hard work, but it does have some great rewards.
