Single mothers and their day to day struggles.

From an experience I have seen or witnessed, a teenage mum had her daughter and her daughters father never acknowledged her from day one. It has been a year since he last he saw her.
It’s stories like this which sadden me. Single mothers all over the world have a struggle looking after their children. It has a negative psychological effect on their children, depending on the circumstances. Without a father figure in the children’s life can do a lot of damage to the child. The feeling of not being wanted is a major one.
It is a struggle for the mother, of doing everything for their children or child. Everyday they constantly provide, making their children or child a priority over anything else. With no help, they never make excuses. In the back of their mind they always have that feeling not knowing how to explain to their younger ones where their father is. And why he doesn’t want to acknowledge them.
For any father to disband their child or children in my belief is an act of disgrace, their are truly sometimes no words to describe the situation of that sort. Some do not know the damage they are causing and choose to run away, especially with teenage pregnancies. It is a common factor in today’s society.
The law can do so much to help the situation but the amount stress caused to go through the lawyers and the court is unnecessary for the mother and child.
It doesn’t matter if the pregnancy was accidental, in the end its your child with your blood. It is the life of a human being you created into this world. You the father should take full responsibility of your child.
Other situations with single mothers include abusive fathers of their children. The father decides to stay in the mothers life cause of the child. But constantly is abused. Even in their relationship the mother might of been constantly abused and resulted in a pregnancy. Everyday they put up with the abusive father, they deal with it.
It causes trauma to the mother in most cases. Some single mothers go to the extent of going with different men just to find a father figure for their child. Hoping and praying they would meet one, but in the end to no avail.
My respect factor for a single mother is very high or a woman in general. All men should respect women. Teenage mothers should not be judged to be labelled something they are not. Instead they deserve support. Everyone makes mistakes, I’m sure if you were in the same shoes you would not like to be judged. Their is no greater task in life to be the only adult in a children’s life and raise them.
In conclusion of this article, single mothers have a lot of struggle in their day to day life as you can see. If you see one or know one, support them. Be their for them. Respect them as you would respect others. Make the world a better place. And have a positive impact on the single mother’s life.
