My Mother Joan, passed away a year ago. Her birthday was on the 15th of October. This article is about my Mother who was a special lady and who made a big difference in all our lives.
My loving Mother Joan passed away a year ago. Tomorrow the 15th of October would have been Mum’s birthday, now we can remember her Birth Anniversary. My Mother Joan would always remember her Dad’s birthday, on the 2nd of October and she would cook us special food on the day, as a way of celebration. Mum loved to talk to us about her father and about all the special memories she had of him
On Mum’s birth anniversary, my wife and I will remember her by preparing special food, reminiscing about the special times we as a family all shared together, looking through old photo albums and the last photos we have of her. My Dad will miss my Mother a lot on her birthday, which, are the hardest of times when a loved one passes away. My sister will celebrate her husband’s birthday on the same day. In this way, she will always have a celebration at her home.

My Mother, Joan was a wonderful lady, a great cook and she was generous, with whatever she had. Mum would always welcome people into her home and invite them for a meal. Mother was very friendly and could make friends easily and she loved to meet people. Mum had a very kind and loving nature, although she looked stern.
My Mother, Joan loved her family a lot. Mum had an all embracing love, her love extended from my Dad, to her two children, to their spouses and then to her three grandchildren. Mum loved children and she was proud of her family. Mum would listen and advise her friends, when they would visit her. My Mother Joan was religious and prayed for her family, as well as for her friends and their families.
My Mum, Joan will never be forgotten, she has left a lasting impression in all our hearts and in the minds and hearts of all those who knew her. My ever loving Mum Joan, is always by our side guiding each of her family through life. “We love you Mum and May you always shine in Heaven above, like the bright star that you are”.
