How I Trick My Baby Into Eating Healthy

Does your baby throw the food that you worked so hard to slice and dice up, to the ground immediately? Does he or she, stare longingly at your Quarter Pounder with cheese?

Ha ha! The title of this article sounds awful. But when your child is a picky eater, as is my own, you must have a few tricks up your sleeve to induce healthy eating.

My daughter is 13 months old and hates, for some reason, to eat the food that I place in front of her. She only wants to eat my food ,which I am not proud to admit, usually consists of some form of fast food. Fries and the like…

I definitely do not want her eating that garbage, so I pretend that I am giving her a part of my fry or whatever I am eating that she wants. Making a show of breaking a piece off and everything, before swapping it out, right before it goes in her mouth! I do this with diced fruit pieces and vegetables..  Once they show signs of eating it, you show them the actual food that they are eating, and ask “More banana?” While  holding up a piece of banana. This trick usually gets my daughter to eat the food I am offering her, and stop staring at mine. Ha ha.
