Hw a mother and her baby’s love for each other grows, even before the baby is born.
There is no other love like a mother’s love! You love your sibling, your parents, you spouse, partner or lover, and even some friends; but the mother’s love come from within, she falls in love from the moment she realizes there is a little human being growing inside. At about the four or five month marker, the love is formed, the moment she feels the “litter flutter”; which is the time she feels the little being moving about.
You wonder about is it a boy or girl?, who will she look like?, will she have your color hair?, then you move on to more serious thoughts; one of the most important thoughts, “Will I be a Good Mother?” For now the best thing to do is focus on the movement, and the growing, speak softly to him or her and sing, allow yourself to fall in love, enjoy the pregnancy and the little person inside you. Take the time before going to bed to sing a lullaby, it is relaxing for you and it introduces your child to your voice, your heart beat, and who his/her mommy is. As the baby grows so do you, there is less room for the baby to move, and you want to move about less and less; use this time to connect with your child. By rubbing your stomach, over the top and under the bottom, this helps communicate to the baby the sensation of touch.
By the time the infant is born, he/she if familiar with your voice, they find it very soothing, to be held by you. It is during the first few minutes after birth; which is the time for you to bond with your newborn, it is at this time you have totally fallen in love, your love is sealed.
