Usually we hear pondering from my children such as, “BUT WHY”, “YOU’RE SO MEAN”, and “I CAN’T WAIT TO MOVE OUT”. Wouldn’t it be nice if, once in awhile, we heard something else, perhaps with a hint of gratitude or affection? Here are 10 things I think every mom would LOVE to hear.

1. You’re right, I am a hooligan.

2. I’m so sorry for making you the mom in the grocery store with the screaming child.

3. Thank you for making me eat my vegetables.

4. Can I fold the clothes for you?

5. No, I don’t want my allowance this week, you keep it.

6. Put your feet up, you work too hard!

7 .You are so much cooler than my friend’s mom.

8. You’re an amazing example. I hope to be as (inset something endearing and pleasant) as you when I grow up.

9. Meatloaf again? Perfect!

10. Last, but not least, and possibly most importantley: I love you.
