Acne can be traced back to different factors depending on where they crop up on your face.

Prone to break-outs in particular areas but not sure why. Read on to discover why your acne appears where it does.

Forehead

A spotty forehead is caused by poor digestion.

Cheek

Pimples around your nose and cheeks can be due to sinus infections, allergies or lung problems. Pollution is also a major cause.

Chin

Pimples on the side of your chin are caused by hormones. Those in the centre can be traced back to a sluggish bowel.

Neck

Stress attacks your neck and the sides of your face.

Hairline

Traditionally traced back to the bladder, spots along the hairline can also be caused by a build-up or product.

Sides of Face

Blemishes along the gum line are generally caused by gingivitis or a tooth infection. See your dentist if these spots persist, they might be telling you something.
