The Thing…..continued.

Well there I was again……. lying back in that chair, the doctor hovering over me, his ‘tools’ of the trade all laid out ready, that huge spotlight shining in my face feeling like I was about to undergo an interrogation, and I was, of sorts…..

Doc: “Have you been taking your tablets regularly?”

Me: “Religously”

Doc: “have you been drinking lot’s of water?”

Me: “Of course”

Doc: “Have you been resting?”

Me: “If I rest much more, I’ll be comatose!” and so on…….

As far as hospital visits go, this one was relatively stress free and painless, aided by the fact that the doctor was waiting for me as soon as I walked in, despite the waiting room being half full.

As I was leaving, he asked me to attend the accident and emergency department on Saturday, go to the reception desk and ask for him personally. He even gave me his page number so that they could ‘bleep’ him straight away……….. NOW I feel special!!
