Basic techniques for controlling dry skin that can save your skin’s appearance.

According to Sam Dhatt, the first thing you should know before caring for the skin is to know which type of skin you have. There are five kinds of skin:

  • Normal skin
  • Oily skin
  • Dry skin
  • Sensitive skin
  • Combination skin

A glowing, smooth skin is one of the first things that is noticed in an attractive, well-groomed person. But this is possible only when you are healthy.

For healthy skin, you should have healthy diet, a diet that contains the proper amount of minerals, vitamins and proteins. Diet is not the only factor; hygiene is also an important factor for healthy skin. Face should be washed every morning and evening with a soap-free cleanser and warm water to remove oil, sweat, dirt and bacteria.

Sam Dhatt’s tips for healthy skin:

Wash your skin twice daily with a soap-free cleanser, for soap will strip the skin of its natural and protective oils. Second, apply an alcohol-free toner to the skin to be a balance, further clean and condition the skin. During the day, make sure you apply an antioxidant treatment to the kin, such as Vitamin C or Copper. Follow the antioxidant application with a broad spectrum sunscreen containing ingredients such as Parsol 1789, zinc oxide and/or titanium oxide. In the evening, apply a moisturizing treatment to your skin that is appropriate for your skin type. For example, for aging skin, apply moisturizers containing ingredients such as kinetin, idebenone or peptides. For acne-prone skin, apply a light moisturizer containing ingredients such as salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, and/or tree oil.
