Have you ever been shopping and gone for a bottle of moisturizer only to realize the shocking price and then put it back?

Have you ever been shopping and gone for a bottle of moisturizer only to realize the shocking price and then put it back? If this is the case and you are looking for a cheaper way to take care of your body and more importantly, your skin, then you will be relieved to know that there are plenty of homemade remedies to take care of yourself.

If you do not already have a bottle of a jar of honey in your kitchen cupboard, then you need to go out and buy yourself one. Not only is this perfect to put in a glass of warm water with lemon in the morning for an all over detox of the body and the skin but it also has cleansing properties and therefore can work wonders for the skin when applied directly on to it. A honey mask is a great way to go about this and you can buy these for fairly cheap but if you do not want to spend money on a face mask then you can always apply honey to your bath water and stir until it has been dissolved or applied straight to the face or mixed with a little moisturizer and then left for fifteen minutes.

Cucumber has already been known for years to get rid of puffy and dark circles under the eyes but it is also good for skin complaints such as acne or black heads. Al you need to do with this is the same as you would do for the eyes. Cut the cucumber into small and thin slices and then place them all over the face for around ten to fifteen minutes before removing and then washing with mild face soap.

Lemon is always a great thing to have as this is good for the hair and skin. It works in the same way as the cucumber does for the tiny black spots that you might get as well as acne but can also allow for glowing and shining skin that is full of life. Lemon juice should be added to the face with a small cotton wool ball and then left for around half an hour to forty-five minutes. You are then free to wash it off.

Yoghurt is perfect for the face as it works as an all round toner, cleanser and moisturizer and is perfect for applying to the face for ten minutes and then washing off. If you wanted a really good deep cleanse, you can add the pulp of a tomato which you can also use neat as such, and this allows for a great complexion.

So, there you have it. A number of easy home remedies for perfect looking skin. A few minutes each day spent on taking care of yourself and the results could be quite dramatic. You’ll never know until you try so it’s about time you started rummaging through the kitchen cupboards!
