Want to make your own natural moisturizers then look no further. Here’s a guide to three of the best and easiest lotion you could make.
With winter just around the corner the cold weather is settling in. Sometimes the cold weather can leave our skin feeling dry and unloved, yet it’s so easy to sort this problem out. Many people think you have to spend a fortune on beauty products to keep your skin young and beauty but it’s just not true. There are hundreds of easy to make lotions which you can manufacture in the comfort of your own home. So if you’re after a little luxury without the price tag just take a look at the following recipes.
The first lotion is a lemon moisturizer. Lemons are widely used in skin care products as they can be used for treatment in several skin conditions. The lemon oils are good for cleansing pores and leaving your skin looking refreshed as it is high in vitamin C. I would recommend this moisturizer for people who have oily skin. For this moisturizer you will need 4 teaspoon of lemon juice, 200 grams of gelatin and 2 cups of water, it would be recommend to use distilled water, you can buy this in bottles from the local supermarket. You simple need to mix the ingredients together bit by bit until you start to get a lotion. Leave this to settle in a cool place then bottle. To really feel the benefits from this lotion use twice daily, it will help rid you of blemishes and keep your skin silky smooth.
The next moisturizer is a strawberry cream. You may notice lots of moisturizers include fruit this is because they are versatile and have hidden benefits. When the acids in strawberries are used properly in creams and masks they help to exfoliate the skin. In this recipe you will need 250 grams of strawberries, 100 grams of sugar, two tablespoons of lanolin and sunflower oil. Place the sugar in a pan and add the strawberries. Now bring this to the boil then let cool, once it has cooled it will need boiling again. The strawberry juice you now have will need to be cooled then store in the fridge for a few hours. When strawberries have cooled down you can melt two tablespoons of lanolin and sunflower oil in a water bath. You can use a hot bowl of water instead of a water bath if you do not have one at hand. Once this is done slowly mix in the strawberry juice. Once they are both mixed well remove from the heat and continue to stir. Allow the lotion to cool once more and bottle. This is a great moisturizer for oily to normal skin and can be used as little as once a week.
The finally moisturizers is made from aloe vera. Aloe vera is great for sensitive skin and is rich in nutrients which give it healing properties. There are two simple moisturizers which aloe vera can be made into. The first is simple olive oil with aloe vera gel to make a lotion. You should use 5 parts aloe vera to every two parts olive oil. This doesn’t need anything else doing to it other than mixing well. The next is exactly the same but using water instead of olive oil. If you feel there is too much water simple add a little more aloe vera but make sure you don’t overdo it. This is a great lotion for dry skin and is a good natural after sun product. It is also a good lotion for those who have damaged skin.
Make sure you test all lotions before you use them to ensure you have no reaction to them and enjoy. These lotion will leave you skin looking brand new and give you the confidence you need.
