Look Younger Without Surgery

Going under the knife or needle to look younger? Here is a list of suggested creams and alternative ways to help you look younger, without the pain.

I must admit I do not like to “grow old gracefully”. I like to fight it all the way, the non-surgical way. Why accept it if you can wiggle out of it, at least for a while longer. We cannot stop the aging process, but we can help our skin to look younger, especially our faces.

The Problem Areas

  1. Age Spots

Also known as liver spots are caused by repeated sun exposure, which stimulates melanin production, resulting in these flat brown lesions.

  2. Using bleaching creams that contain prescription-strength hydroquinone, 4% to 8%, can help even out skin tone.

  3. Crow’s Feet

All facial muscle activities including frowning, laughing, squinting create crinkles in the corners of your eyes.

  4. Over the counter creams, such as retinol, soften squint lines, and less irritating on skin. Vitamins C and E have antioxidants that fight skin-damaging free radicals.

  5. Forehead Creases, Brow Furrows

Stress makes the muscles that lift and lower your eyebrows in horizontal lines across the forehead. Sometimes, vertical frown may form between your eyes and on the bridge of your nose.

  6. Try Avon Anew Clinical Deep Crease Concentrate with Bohylurox to reduce visible lines around the areas of forehead and eyes.

  7. Under-Eye Circles

As skin gets thinner with age, muscles and blood vessels become more visible, making the area under the eyes look darker. This problem also may be cause by genetics or allergies.

  8. Ask your dermatologist for a prescription called Remergent Microcirculation Therapy, which contains Pinoxide to stimulate nitric oxide for circulation improvement.

  9. Smile Lines

Years of smiling can result in creases from the base of your nose to the corners of your mouth. Smoking also contributes to fine lines around your mouth.

  10. Keep your skin hydrated, and use Estee Lauder Perfectionist Correcting Concentrate for Deeper Facial Lines/Wrinkles.

  11. Thinning Lips

Your lips may also become thin due to age when collagen produces less.

  12. Wear lip balm or lipstick with SPF 15 sunscreen to reduce collagen damage cause by the UV rays.

Additional Solutions to Help Your Skin Look Younger

  1. Quit Smoking

Smoking breaks down collagen by reducing blood flows, making skin saggy since it deprives the skin of oxygen, and other nutrients.

  2. Rub on the Sunscreen

Use sunscreen year-round. Cumulative and excessive daily doses of sun are most damaging, which destroy collagen and elastin.

  3. Have Healthy Diets

Maintain a steady weight to avoid sagging and wrinkles. Eat healthy nutritious meals to help skin look better.

  4. Drink Wisely

Alcohol leads to blotchy complexion, and break capillaries beneath the skin, which give the face a flushed and tired look.

  5. Sleep Well

Get enough sleep, since lack of sleep results in tired and wrinkled look.

  6. Wear Sunglasses

Purchase a pair of sunglasses with UV protection to wear, and cut down on squinting.

  7. Hydrate Your Skin

Drink plenty of water, and keep your skin moisturized with lotion.

  8. Maintain Your Stress

Keep the pressure in life low on your scale. If you cannot find a solution for it, then forget it. It is not worth stressing over.

As nature has intended, we all have to grow older. I do not believe in surgical or Botox, or going under the knife. I like to stay naturally young for as long as I can, with the help of these creams, and healthy alternatives.
