Everything you do can not go perfect. This happens even in the case of hair dying. Some times while applying the hair dye, the skin gets dyed too. This is a very common problem experienced by everyone, at least once in their life. The most common places people tend to dye by mistake are scalp and ears.
This dye on skin can not be cleaned very easily. It takes time to fade off. But there are few tips by following which you can remove the dye on your skin easily
Use a Hair Dye Remover
Many beauty stores sell hair dye removers. You can see definite results with these products. Just follow the instructions on the pack and you can get rid of the hair dye on the skin.
There are some remedies which you can try with the products available at your home. Some of the effective remedies are
Use a Dye
You may not believe it but many hair stylists suggested a hair dye to remove hair dye on the skin. This is a great remedy to remove the dye. While in shower, just apply a little of hair dye on the dyed skin and massage (rub) it in circular motions and clean the skin with water. Along with water, the dye also gets removed.
Use a Toothpaste
Toothpaste works great to remove hair dye from the skin. It is a conventional method being used for many years. You just have to apply a little bit of toothpaste on the skin which got dyed and you have to rub the paste on the skin evenly. Rinse with the water and you could see the results instantly.
Use Baking Soda and Dish Washing Liquid
This is also a conventional method being used by people for many years. Just mix equal parts of dish washing liquid and baking soda and make it as a paste. Apply this paste on the skin which got dyed and do circular motions with the fingers. You can see the results after cleaning the skin with water.
Use Vaseline
Vaseline was proven to be a great hair dye remover from skin. Apply a small amount of Vaseline on the skin from which you have to remove dye. Rub the area and wipe the Vaseline with a tissue paper. You can see the results.
A Few More Methods
- Detergent powders also work well in removing hair dye from skin.
- Baby wipes show good results. Do circular motions with baby wipes on the skin and you can see results, though not so complete results.
- Shaving cream also shows good results.
- Magic eraser works well.
- Try alcohol i.e., apply alcohol to cotton and rub it on the skin.
