Want to know what cleanser you should use for your skin? read these easy tips.

I would recommend using a professional product for the cleanser as it’s the most important part of your cleaning regime.

First, you got to determine what is your skin type. If you don’t already know, you can get a free skin analysis from most beauty salons.

Oily skin-

Find a cleanser specifically for oily skin. Oily skin produces excess oil therefore is prone to acne and breakouts. These cleansers have an antibacterial agent that strips away the oil and helps kills the bacteria on the skin leaving it fresh and clean.

Do not buy a cleanser that is a cream base even if it does say it’s for oily skin.

It will not clear your skin and give you the cleanse that you want.

Always buy a cleanser that is a gel or a clay base that will purify your skin.

Really recommend the dermalogica dermal clay cleanser. Can also use as a spot treatment masque.

Combination skin-

As you still have an oil flow through your t-zone area, its best to use a gel or foaming base cleanser for your skin. You can also use a clay cleanser if you have a combination but acne prone skin. These cleansers clean and refresh your skin without over stripping it but at the same time, still leaves it hydrated.

Try not to use a cream base cleanser.

Recommend the dermalogica special cleansing gel/ dermal clay cleanser.

Normal skin-

Having normal skin is balanced. But in colder months, it can get a little dry.

Buying a foaming and gel cleanser would suit you best.

If your skin gets a little dry through the winter months, upgrade to a thicker moisturizer to use at night.

Recommend the dermalogica special gel.

Dry skin-

Having dry skin, you should always use a cleanser that is a rich cream base. You need to restore moisture into your skin as much as you can.

Dry skin shows visible signs of aging and wrinkles. Make sure you also you a rich eye cream to keep them hydrated.

Recommend the sothys milk cleanser, decleor cleanser or the dermalogica essential cleaning solution.

Sensitive skin-

Use a cleanser that has soothing agents such as aloe vera, lavender, or chamomile.

Theses cleansers help soothe the skin making it less irritating.

Recommend the dermalogica ultra calming cleanser as it also helps build the barrier of the skin making it stronger.
