Give Yourself a Pedicure

Give yourself a relaxing pedicure and beautify your feet for those new open toed shoes you are ready to show off.

Do a pedicure after bathing, since your nails and cuticles will be softened then, or begin your pedicure with a warm, soapy foot bath.

Use a pumice stone to gently rub the tough, calloused parts of your feet; the heels, balls, and Achilles (back) tendon of your ankles. Using a pumice stone regularly will soften the rough and tough spots.

Wash your feet, pat dry, and apply a moisturizer. Be sure to include your entire foot and ankle.

Use a sharp nail clipper or manicure scissors to trim your nails. Do not cut them too short, as this could cause the tip of your toe to become irritated. Cut your nails straight across, not in a round shape. which can cause ingrown toe nails to develop.

Use an emery board to smooth snags, filing straight across the nail.

For long-lasting polish, supply a base coat, one or two coats of polish, and a top coat. Allow each coat to dry before applying the next coat.

Thank you everyone for your comments. I just want to say I know this is a frivolous subject with all the serious events I could write about, but what the heck our toes need a little attention too.

I wanted to add that Louie had an article on a day or so ago that I could not find. Every time I clicked it took me to some wierd web page. There was an article of another writer that did the same thing. Has anyone else had that problem?

Thanks Ruby, this is something I love to do for myself and no it is not frivolous. Also I have run across the same problem with being sent to a different page. I have also had many problems with the like key not working or comments not posting after several trys.

Sounds good…taking a hot bubble bath and giving myself a pedicure. I need to do something for myself for once and I think this is what I will do tonight. Thanks.
