This is review of a skin care product that I bought and tested. I hope it can help anyone who needs some opinion first before buying the product.

First Impression

I was passing through the facial masks section in Watson’s and I considered buying a cheap mask. Garnier self-heating sauna mask captured my attention because of its packaging, well designed. Also the term, self-heating made me want to try it. The product comes in a sachet form which is divided into two.

The promises of the product

As I read the back of the sachet, it says that this mask has a formula that generates a self-heating action. It also promises to remove impurities and excess sebum to unclog pores and refine skin’s texture. It claims to purify the pores for up to 7 days.

Active ingredients

This sauna mask contains clay and zinc.

Using the Product

So after I washed my face with a mild soap, I ask someone to apply the mask on my face (T-zone.) It was truly a relaxing experience and I can say that it’s really better if someone can do the applying for you. Indeed, it was self heating and the smell is that of cucumber which is really a pleasant smell for a facial mask.

After 3 minutes, I washed my face, Garnier sauna mask is not a drying nor a peeling mask. It does not change its texture after 3 minutes.

The Verdict

After I washed my face, I was happy for some seconds when I discovered that my face looks smoother BUT I then realized that my pores, especially on the nose were clogged by the mask and they were not easy to remove. After a week, I tried it again with the same results. I was quite disappointed.

Will I buy it again?

No, I’m looking for a good mask right now.

Recommendation

I have read some good reviews about this product but it didn’t work for me. If you want a relaxing, self-heating mask, you can try this Garnier sauna mask and if you’ll have the same results as mine, I recommend using a facial scrub to remove the mask residue on your face.
