Complete Skin Care Tips
Glowing, smooth and clear, as soft as a new born baby’s bottom.
This is what everyone dreams of, about how their skin should be forever. You should consider a lot of practices to follow regularly to get such a skin. More important is that you have to follow the same forever to maintain your skin health, the very same, forever.
The three main things you have to follow are:
- Skin Care
- Healthy Diet
- Maintenance
Skin Care
Your skincare routine should include cleansing, moisturizing and sun protection.
- Wash or clean your face at least twice a day (Throw away your soaps, they change the pH level of the skin drastically, use cleansers).
- When your day is over make sure to hydrate your skin with a good moisturizer every night.
- Use a sun protection cream or lotion that suits your skin type, whenever you get exposed to sun. Let it be at least SPF 30 or above.
Healthy Diet
- Three different types of salads, fruits or vegetables is a must everyday.
- The amount of water you consume daily is very important to keep your skin healthy. The more you consume water; your skin becomes healthier.
- The basic supply your skin needs is sufficient B vitamins, and anti oxidants such as Vitamins A, C, and E. So your main course of your diet should include whole grains, legumes, pulses, nuts, fruits, and vegetables.
- Essential fats are needed to moisturize the skin from within. So make sure you include fish and flax seeds to your diet regularly to increase the fats such as omega-3
- You can add Soya, chickpeas and lentils to your diet every now and then, as they add your phyto estrogens.
- Onions, garlic and eggs have high sulphur content and they promote skin rejuvenation. Certain people are allergic to these, so check with a dietician.
Maintenance
There are three skin types in general, sensitive skin, oily skin and dry skin. To maintain your skin according to their nature is very important. Common problems that affect the skin are acne, pimples, wrinkles & ageing, sunburns and allergies due to food or other factors. There are certain practices other than what you do regularly, as mentioned earlier, that you have to follow to keep your skin healthy and free from common skin problems.
- Orange peel, lemon, coriander and mint juice, cucumber, and eggs. These are very helpful in maintaining your skin. You can make a pack or a paste with each one of them and apply to your skin. This helps your skin to become soft and avoid getting problems such as acne and pimples.
- Take a raw potato, peel and grate it. Put the grated into a muslin cloth and tie it tightly to form a pad. Rub this pad all over the face in firm, circular motions for about 5 to 7 minutes and then wash off your face. Do this at least once a week so that your skin is free from blemishes or black spots.
- Apply fresh limejuice to a glass of boiled milk and use as a face wash. Ripe tomato pulp works as a very good face wash.
- Apply a paste of turmeric powder with sugarcane juice to remove wrinkles and to prevent skin ageing.
- Apply a good quality ice cream, massage with fleshy tips of fingers with firm pressure for 15 minutes. This helps to lift your skin a lot.
- Zinc shows dramatic results on your skin. You can take 3 doses of 50 mg daily up to one month and then reduce to the dose of 25 mg. Zinc keeps your skin protected from any damage due to excessive dirt or dust pollution.

Very good skin care tips. In my teen years I had acne issues. Turmeric really helps. There are some myths about acne that I want to bring to people’s notice:
