Combination Skin Care

There are types of skin that are dry and oily in different areas of the same face.
This type of state needs careful attention because it has a mix together of oily and dry patches. The central panel, across the forehead and down the nose and chin, tends to be oily, and needs to be treated like oily skin. However, the other areas are prone to dryness and flakiness from lack of moisture, and need to be treated like dry skin.
Some combinations of skins do not follow the central panel pattern and can have patches of dry and oily skin in other arrangements. If are unsure of your skin oily and dry areas, press a tissue to your face an hour after washing it. Any greasy patches on the tissues mean oily areas.
Care for combination skin
This type of skin requires a dual approach to skincare. Treating the entire skin texture like oily skin will leave the dry areas even drier and tighter than before. In the same way, treating it only like dry skin can incite excess oiliness and even occurrence of blemishes. This means that you need to deal with the different areas of the skin individually, with products to suit. This is not as complex and difficult as it sounds, and the result will be a softer, smoother and clearer skin texture than before.
Dual approaches to skincare will double the benefits for combination skin, and it need not be very time-consuming.
