Cellulite be Gone!
Great tips to get you smooth, sexy, bump-free skin.
Even the skinniest things and butts can be blighted by the dreaded dimply, orange peel look known as cellulite. We still don’t know why exactly it develops, but the latest research suggests it’s a combination of poor circulation and hormonal activity. Slow flowing blood leads to a build up of toxins and fat, and as a result the fat cells start to bulge forward resulting in the dimpling we all hate.
There are two stages of cellulite development. In the first it’s only visible if you contract your muscles or pinch your skin. If you can catch it at this stage it will be easier to shift with treatments such as lymphatic massage as well as an improved diet and exercise regime. In the second stage the cells become so fat-logged that they become ridged and scarred, making cellulite visible. At this point it’s almost impossible to reverse, but can be diminished.
Exercise isn’t a cure all, it won’t get rid of bumpy skin entirely, but research shows that women who work out regularly and eat a low-fat, low-GI diet are less likely to develop the second stage of cellulite. Experts recommend daily exercise as the best method to both prevent and diminish cellulite. Cardio-sculpting exercises are best, as well as running and cycling.
Changing up your diet can also. Cut out any added salt. Eating 5-6 small meals is easier on your digestive system than 3 big meals, so snack throughout the day on some of the yummy and healthy snack’s suggested here: http://healthmad.com/nutrition/15-healthy-and-delicious-snacks/. Steer clear of processed foods. Eat lots of leafy green vegies. Add some good fats such as olive oil into your diet. Eat lots of foods high in anti-oxidants, which fight the pollution that can contribute to cellulite. Finally eat organic whenever you can, as extra chemicals or additives will increase the likelihood of developing cellulite.
If exercise and diet don’t make a difference, try some more high-tech treatments. Lymphatic massage helps to release toxins and break down the fatty deposits that are cellulite. Lipomassage has much the same effect and is loved by many celebrities. Finally, radiofrequency treatments are a last resort for anyone who hasn’t seen results from anything else. The radio waves break up the fatty deposits, and results are said to last up to two years.
If you’ve tried everything with no result, you’ll just have to fake it. A good fake tan can almost completely hide all traces of cellulite. If you get a spray tan ask the technician to give your more definition around your thighs and butt. Shimmery skin will also distract from bumps so slather on some illuminating body creams.
