Basic Beauty Tips for Your Face

Most people often forget the needs of their face. There are several basic things that should been done to keep your face looking young and vibrant and they won’t take very long. In the shower or after you brush your teeth a few extra minute is all it takes to help your face stay healthy.

Every person, even men should be taking special care of their face.  This is one part of the body that is often left behind.  We exercise to make our bodies fit, get our nails done to look perfect, get our hair cut, died, and styled but often forget the daily routine of caring for our face.  Here are the basics to get you on your way to having a younger more vibrant face.

Cleansing:

Over and over you may hear cleansing your face is very important.  Yes, of course but with the right cleanser.  Try to stay away from cleansers that have any fragrance in them.  We don’t want to put any toxins into our skin we want to get them out.  Look at the label, if it says any ingredient before water put it back on the self.  The first thing in any ingredients list, even food, is what it has the most of.  Water is the purest cleanser we could ever ask for.  Oatmeal is the next best thing because it has natural exfoliates that will take away any dead skin and clean the pores.  Always remember that when you are applying anything to your face don’t forget your neck.  We don’t want our face to look smooth and polished and then have our necks looking like a tree trunk.  Include that into your regiment.  Also remember to do upward circular motions.  We don’t want to help gravity pull our face down we want to do the opposite and push it up.  This motion also gets your blood circulating in your face which then decreases your wrinkles and plumps up your weakened face muscles.  You should cleanse your face at least once a day but preferably twice, morning and night.

Moisturizing:

I feel this is the most important thing anyone could do for their face.  We cover our bodies with clothes to protect us from the elements of the outside.  We put shoes on our feet to protect our soles.  But we do nothing to protect our face from the harm of the environment.  Putting on moisture is that protection.  It creates an invisible barrier that won’t let harmful elements do as much damage.  Once again look for a lotion that has water as the first ingredient.  We want naturals not toxins.  Also try and get a moisturizer with SPF 15.  There is a lot of dispute over if anything higher in SPF is really that much more effective.  My advice is for your face, don’t use anything less than SPF 15 and make sure you have on a sunscreen. Check the packaging of the moisturizers it will say it clearly on the label whether or not it contains a sunscreen.  The sun’s rays are the most harmful to your aging process as well as giving yourself a greater risk of skin cancer if you are not protected.  Once again apply in upward circular motion.  Don’t drag yourself down lift yourself up.  Don’t forget your neck and moisturizer at least once but for smoother more vibrant skin do it twice a day, morning and night.

Exfoliate:

Some cleansers already have exfoliate in them.  If it doesn’t have any exfoliate purchase one and then do this process once or twice a week just to remove any dead skin cells and dirt in your pores.  This will create a smoother surface and also encourages healthy cell growth.

Eye Care:

The skin around your eyes is thinner and more sensitive than the rest of your face.  Consider getting a mild cleanser and moisturizer for that area.  Some people also experience burning from the moisturizer with SPF in it around the eyes which is another reason to splurge for a different moisturizer.  You only use a small amount for the area so the product that you get will last awhile.  Use your middle finger, as this one natural applies less pressure to apply the cleanser, moisturizer, and even makeup to this area.  This will not damage the blood vessels in that area which can create dark circles and puffiness.

First impressions are always the lasting impression so let your face do the talking.  Take care of it.  It is everyone’s greatest asset.  When you give a speech, or make sales, or cut hair, teach, etc everyone looks and notices your face.  Make it shine with a smile and these helpful tips: cleanse, moisturize, and exfoliate.  Always use upward circular motions, don’t forget your neck, and be kind to your eyes.

NOTE:  SPF products have an expiration date.  Check before you buy or check to make sure the ones you already have are not outdated.
